News reporter Ainí is threatened
Ainí Martín Valero, independent news reporter, informed that in hours of the night of yesterday members of the political police presented themselves at her house, situated at Fresneda st. # 210 between Millar and Recreo, Regla.
According to Ainí Martín, the police question her for assisting frequently at the meetings of the Liberal Unity Party of the Republic of Cuba. Martín Valero replied reminding them her rights as a news reporter to participate in areas of interest of her job.
The officers "suggested" her in a threatening tone, to stay away of the group because in the same where individuals as Emilio Leyva and Edgar López Moreno, who organized provocative activities. Later, as the officers realize that they could not reach their objectives, they opted to intimidate her with four years of jail term if she continued in her persistence. To conclude their abject threats against this dignified representative of the cuban femine oppossers; they reminded her that she had two childrens who where minors in age who could be jeopordized.
