To the seminal Afro Cuban Vocalist & Musician
Graciela Perez Grillo Gutierrez. Born In Havana Cuba 25 August 1915 & Died In New York this past 6 April 2010 .

In 1930's Havana, Graciela began performing with the all-female Orquestra Anacaona, where she played bass and sang before coming to New York In 1942.

Arriving In New York, Graciela who was also the step sister of Franc "Machito" Grillo, joined his World Famous Afro Cuban Orchestra & sang her way Into Immortality as first female lead vocalist of a Latin band In the United States .

Machito's Afro Cuban Orchestra was directed by their brother In law Mario Bauza who was married to another sister Estela.
