Prisoner release update: You may have heard that the Spanish government and Catholic Church have negotiated the release of 52 prisoners of conscience unjustly imprisoned for advocating democracy and human rights in Cuba. A few have been released and Oscar is on the list of those to be released in the coming months. Although we remain hopeful, many believe Oscar's release is unlikely as he has pledged not to leave Cuba and forced exile does seem to be a condition of release. We will keep you updated as these developments continue.

Message from Dr Oscar Elias Biscet
I want to thank all those who made the Oscar´s Cuba documentary possible. Although I haven't been able to watch it, for being unjustly in prison, my wife Elsa Morejon, and the Lawton Foundation Directive Board have told me that it reflects part of my life, and the life of many Human Rights activists and Civil Society in Cuba. I pray to God that this documentary helps to promote the defense of life and human rights in my country.
