Victor Ruiz Aramburu, Dionisio Vadillo & Alberto Vadillo, observing the launching of the "Zubiete," January 29, 1944. These three men were the principal shareholders in "Sucesores de Leandro y Balbino Ruiz, Sociedad en Comandita," in whose shipyard the boat was built. The Zubiete was one of three boats built at the direction of José Arechabala, S.A., in Cárdenas, Cuba, in response to the transportation shortage suppressing exports during WWII.
