Operación Fangio, 50 años después.
El piloto argentino Juan Manuel Fangio, ganó el Primer Gran Premio de Cuba de 1957, en un circuito ubicado en el barrio del Vedado. El 24 de febrero de 1958, cuando se disponía a participar en el Segundo Gran Premio de La Habana, fue secuestrado por un comando del Movimiento Revolucionario 26 de Julio, para llamar la atención mundial sobre la situación existente en el país. En 1999 fue realizada una película en coproducción entre Argentina y Cuba, llamada "Operación Fangio", donde se relata este pasaje de la historia. El papel de Fangio lo interpretó Darío Grandinetti y la dirección corrió a cargo de Alberto Lecchi.
