Paul Crespo inicia campaña ripostando a David Rivera
Enviado por ei en Marzo 25, 2010 – 16:51 pm.(MIAMI, FL)-Yesterday candidate David Rivera broke his recent promise to “campaign on a positive basis…based on issues” when he personally attacked former U.S. Marine Corps officer Paul Crespo within hours of Crespo’s announcement that he was running for U.S. Congress in District 25.
In a move reminiscent of the old-style political antics voters are passionately rejecting this year, Mr. Rivera twisted words in an attempt to confuse voters and hide behind members of South Florida’s Congressional delegation. Interviewed on Spanish language TV about Paul Crespo’s announcement Mr. Rivera said that it was a shame that fellow Republican Crespo would criticize Lincoln Diaz-Balart or Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.The fact is Mr. Crespo did not criticize any member of South Florida’s Republican Congressional delegation. “I have nothing but respect and admiration for Lincoln, Mario and Ileana. I know them all very well and have supported them for years,” said Crespo. “They have served our community and nation admirably.” he added. “I am especially proud that they voted against Obama’s obscene healthcare bill and TARP.” said Crespo. “I know we need effective, seasoned veterans like our current Congressmen to help us fight in Washington, but with the battles getting bigger and uglier they also need fresh, highly qualified reinforcements. This is a crucial year in our nation’s history,” emphasized Crespo. This year the stakes are higher than ever before. The open Congressional seat in District 25 gives us the opportunity to send a fresh new fighter with solid, real-world national and international experience to help solve our nation’s problems, like Crespo, rather than a Tallahassee machine politician.
