DESPEDIDO POR REVELAR LA VERDAD

Hoy aparece una columna escrita por Michael Calderone donde se señala el despido del Periodista Juan Williams de NPR.

Si por describir una realidad en la que vivimos, donde aparentemente la comunidad islámica aspira a destruir todo vestigio del cristianismo, incluyendo la muerte de sus seguidores por todos los medios posibles; pues entonces, aunque sea denunciando la postura de éstos extremistas, por qué tienen que ser despedidos por señalar una preocupación de la que parecemos todos; la amenaza de fanáticos musulmanes que nos quieren asesinar.

Todavía no he escuchado de un sólo despido que se le haya hecho a uno de éstos indeseables que exclaman muerte a todos los que no siguen su linea de pensamiento y reglas. Pero si un reportero denuncia éstos actos criminales, contra inocentes, pues entonces eso es motivo para denigrar reputaciones, despidir y rechazar para siempre a un grupo de profesionales de la informática.

Espero que Juan Williams pueda tomar acciones legales contra la NPR por censurar su comentario, por señalar una situación real de nuestros tiempos.

Lo que describió sobre situaciones, como la de encontrarse en aeropuertos con parejas o grupos musulmanes y, sentirse incómodo ó amenazados con sus presencias, despues del ataque del 9/11, es una verdad que no se puede negar, , y que aveces preferimos callar por no ser señalados como racistas, problemáticos y por no ser ridiculazados.


Callar la verdad es suscitar al poder hostil.

Today a column written by Michael Calderone states the dismissal of journalist Juan Williams of NPR. He described a reality in which we live in, where apparently the Muslim community wants to destroy every vestige of Christianity, including the death of its followers by every possible means.

I believe it to be a duty to denounce the position of these extremists, for a concern that many of us seem to have, the threat of Muslim fanatics wanting to kill us.

I have not heard of a dismissal taken on one of these undesirable who cry death to all who do not follow their line of thinking. But if a reporter is denouncing their criminal acts against innocent, well then that seems like a reason to denigrate reputations and reject.

I hope that John Williams can take legal action against the NPR for censoring his comment in such a drastic form, simply for mentioning a reality of our times.

The situations which he described as being in an airport with Muslim couples or groups being present and making him feel uncomfortable or threatened, especially after the attacks of 9/11, is a truthful reality that many of us cannot deny, and that sometimes we prefer to keep quiet about so as not to be identified as racist, problematic or ridiculed.


To silence the truth gives raise to negative influences.
